Who we are
A little History
Lehmann Engineering, a structural engineering firm in San Antonio, Texas, was founded in 2003 by Darrell J. Lehmann, P.E. Before starting his own firm, Darrell Lehmann worked with several firms, refining his skills and crafting a reputation for quality. As the son of a contractor in South-Central Texas, Darrell Lehmann has been around construction his whole life. This construction background, coupled with his structural engineering expertise, offers him a unique perspective and practical approach to the design process.
Our Experience
Engineers at Lehmann Engineering are experienced with the structural design of almost every conceivable combination of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, precast concrete, structural steel, light gauge steel, heavy timber, conventional wood, load bearing masonry, and cables. Project experience includes: entertainment and sports facilities, single and multi-family residential complexes, civil, and communications facilities as well as structures for educational, commercial, religious, industrial and financial use.

The Lehmann Engineering team is proud to volunteer for several local organizations:
- The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo BBQ Cookoff benefitting Texas youth in agriculture
- CANstruction; a collaboration between the Society for Design Administration and American Institute of Architects-San Antonio that benefits the San Antonio Food Bank
- Design Treasures Seminar sponsored by the Society for Design Administration and local professionals that enlightens today’s youth of the design industry and the careers they can work towards.

Matthew J. Hoffer
Graduate Engineer
Matthew J. Hoffer joined the firm in 2013 and manages all aspects of assigned projects in the design phase, including the selection and design of structural framing systems as well as the coordination and production of construction documents. Additionally, Matthew manages Construction Administration Services for assigned projects under construction, including reviewing submittals, conducting periodic site observations, and responding to contractor questions.

Cindy Delgado joined the firm in 2003 and manages all Office Administration, including Marketing, Accounting, Human Resources and project administration to include Specifications. Cindy also serves as Executive Assistant for the Principals of the firm as well as develops and maintains office standards and company policies.
